Every one of these is somewhere we would book ourselves: estate cottages in Glenfeshie and on Donside, and a farmhouse hotel with its bothy at Killiehuntly. There's an 1820s house in Kingussie, a farmhouse looking to Kildrummy Castle, a granite house by the gates of Balmoral, a larch house above Glenshee and a Victorian tower in Glen Tanar. Choose a kind of place to start, or swipe through them all.
Swipe through them all, and choose one to see it, the nights it is free and how to book.

Tower O'Ess is a Victorian tower on the banks of the River Tanar, built between 1871 and 1873 as the grand entrance to Glen Tanar, and today it's a hideaway for two. Inside, Scandi style meets Scottish comfort, with a super-king bed, a double-ended roll-top bath and a fire crackling in the sitting room, and the old gatehouse pulley is still there. Outside, a fairy-lit hot tub looks out into the woods under tall Scots pines, with the river running past.
