Callie Bothy
Introduction
Callie Bothy sits in Moray Speyside, tucked into a secluded woodland setting between Forres and Elgin. Designed and hand-built by owners Phil and Allie Tomlinson, it brings natural materials, Scottish artisan work and classic Scandinavian design into a calm retreat for two adults. Inside, there is a handmade, fully equipped kitchen, custom furniture, pottery and textiles, a king-size Naturalmat bed, organic hemp bed linen, cotton towels, bath robes and a generous bathroom with a large designer bath and separate rain shower. Large triple-glazed picture windows look out to the woods, while a wrap-around deck leads to the wood-fired hot tub and fire pit beside the wildlife pond. There is no TV, which suits the setting well. Instead, guests have books, board games, maps, binoculars, woodland views and plenty of space to cook, read, soak and spend time outdoors.
