The Gatehouse forms the entrance to the North Drive of Innes House, near Elgin in Moray: a stone lodge with a round tower, completed in 2022, with the drive running through its arch.

It rises over four floors. On the ground floor are the kitchen, with an Aga and a dining area, and a boot room with a washer-dryer and a dog bed. The first floor has the sitting room with a wood-burning stove and a double sofa bed, a single bedroom, and a bathroom with a rolltop bath and a walk-in shower. Higher up are the double bedroom and the tower, with seating for taking in the view. Outside there’s an enclosed garden with a patio, seating for six and a barbecue, and parking for two cars. Dogs and families are both welcome.

The Gatehouse stands at the entrance to the North Drive of Innes House, on the 5,000-acre Innes Estate a few miles from Elgin, which has shops and places to eat.

Lossiemouth and its beaches are about six miles away, or a two-mile walk on the estate's private tracks, and Inverness is about 50 minutes' drive.
