Moray Leisure Centre
Moray Leisure Centre is on Borough Briggs Road in Elgin. It has a main pool, a warm learner pool for families and beginners, a splash pad, and the Crocodile Flume for children of four and over. The flume runs in half-hour slots, with half an hour off between them. In the October holidays, 12 to 25 October, they run every day between 11.30am and 6pm. On the term timetable that runs to 11 October they're on weekend afternoons and a few weekday evenings; check the one from 26 October on the centre's timetables page, where times can change at short notice. A swim is £3.60 for a child aged 5 to 15 and £6.75 for an adult, and under-fives and carers swim free, at the time of writing. You can turn up for most swims. Rainbow Castle soft play, for children under 12 and under 1.45m with an adult, opens at weekends at £5 a child a session; its times go up on the centre's site each Friday. The MLC Café on the ground floor has 60 seats and a terrace beside the pool. The centre opens from 6am to 11pm on weekdays and 7am to 7pm at weekends, and its number is 01343 550033. Over Christmas and New Year, check before going.
