Garden Cottage is a granite cottage in the walled garden on the Glen Tanar estate near Aboyne, and it was once home to the estate's head gardener.

Flowering shrubs and fruit trees grow around it, and on a summer evening you can eat outside among them. Inside it's bright and comfortable, with British-made, hand-picked furnishings, a long window seat with striped cushions and a wood-burning stove with unlimited logs. It sleeps four, in a king-size room with its own shower room and a twin, with a separate shower room. It's pet-free, which makes it a good choice if anyone has allergies, and there's an EV charger, secure bike storage and a store for fishing rods.

A very special place, looked after especially well.

The cottage has a wood-burning stove with unlimited logs and books, a Smart TV, and a kitchen with an electric cooker, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washer-dryer, a fridge freezer and an iron and ironing board.

Garden Cottage is on the Glen Tanar Estate, which spans 25,000 acres of ancient pine forests, rolling hills and lochs in the Cairngorms National Park; the estate’s postal address is Aboyne.

The Estate Office is at Brooks House, Glen Tanar, AB34 5EU, which is also the sat nav postcode. Aberdeen Airport is about an hour away.
