The Finch
A Victorian freehouse on the corner of Bath Road in Leith, with its mahogany back bar, fourteen taps, cocktails, coffee all day and a new pop-up kitchen every week.
There's something about a Victorian pub with all its old features intact, and The Finch, on the corner of Bath Road in Leith, has kept them all: mahogany joinery, stained-glass transoms and ornate plasterwork.
It has been a local since the 1800s, and today it's a freehouse that mixes the soul of a Scottish pub with the spirit of a European bar. There are fourteen taps of Scottish and guest beers and ciders, a shelf of single malts, and house cocktails poured from one of the city's most beautiful back bars, and speciality coffee is served all day. The food comes from pop-up kitchens, with a different independent trader every week, from Neapolitan pizza to Hong Kong dumplings. The Finch is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 3pm midweek and from noon at the weekend, until midnight.
