Welcome

Nàdair is the Gaelic word for nature, and it suits this small neighbourhood restaurant on Roseneath Street in Marchmont perfectly.

The cooking is seasonal and Scottish, inspired by the land around us, with the best local produce and ingredients foraged from the wild, so dinner might bring roe deer with rowan berries, or cod with buttermilk and dulse. In the evening there's a set menu of four or six courses, with a wine pairing to match, and at weekends a three-course set lunch. It was named one of the UK's top new restaurants of 2024 by Condé Nast Traveller. With only 20 seats it's a cosy room, and while walk-ins are welcome, booking ahead is wise. It opens from Thursday to Sunday, with lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The kitchen can't make a vegan or dairy-free menu, so mention any allergies when you book. Children are welcome from the age of five.
