It sits at the foot of Schiehallion, two miles from Kinloch Rannoch at the head of the loch, in the middle of the farm where Andrew and Kate Duncan keep their herd of Luing cattle.Double doors open into one room for living and cooking, with a compact kitchen, a breakfast bar and a wood-burning stove.

Inside Uisge Bothy.

Uisge is the first of Inverlonan's bothies, a little timber cabin with a rusty roof perched right on the bank of Loch Nell, near Oban. Inside, the walls are rich green clay, a wood-burning stove keeps it warm, and the bed is up a ladder under the roof. Every window is a picture of the loch. Breakfast comes from the farm, and on your own deck there's an outdoor shower, with a fire pit and a wood-fired pizza oven nearby.
