Uncommon Life is a warm, welcoming lifestyle shop on Henderson Street, the main street of Bridge of Allan, the Victorian spa town just north of Stirling.
It has a Scandinavian eye for design and a Scottish heart, and it is the kind of shop where you go in for a card and come out with something for the house.
The stock is carefully chosen from Scandinavian and international design houses and from Scottish and British makers, with a focus on doing as little harm to the environment as possible: homewares and kitchen things, candles and incense, bath and body products, cards and stationery, clothing, books and magazines, pantry goods and eco-cleaning. The whitewashed shopfront with its big windows is easy to spot. The shop sells in person and by click and collect, not by post. It opens Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm (closed for half an hour at lunchtime on Mondays and Tuesdays) and on Sundays from 12 noon to 4pm.
