Welcome

It's hard to beat the setting at the Seafood Ristorante, a glass-walled dining room built out over the beach at St Andrews Bay, just behind the Royal and Ancient Golf Club.

From your table the view runs right along the coast to the West Sands and beyond. Executive chef Davy Aspin and his team cook locally caught, sustainable seafood, delivered every day, with an Italian touch, from Shetland cod with squid and a bourride sauce to hand-cut spaghetti with Scottish girolles. There are oysters by the piece to start, and a seasonal lunch menu of two or three courses. It's in the Michelin Guide's pick of the best seafood restaurants in Scotland. Lunch is served from Thursday to Saturday and dinner from Monday to Saturday, and it's closed on Sundays. Book ahead for a window table, and come at lunchtime for the light on the water.
