Head for Greyfriars Garden and you’ll find the historic Topping & Company, a bookish retreat with locations up and down the UK. Before opening its new location in Edinburgh, St Andrews was the shop’s sole Scottish location – and for six years, has been a popular spot for local students and residents to pick up a book or three. Now, it hosts many notable authors for special events.
