Introduction
Repeatedly attacked by the British during the Scottish Wars of Independence, Incholm – an island in the middle of the Firth of Forth – is now home to the ruins of an Augustine Abbey. Also used as a base for the Royal Navy during the First World War, it’s just a mile from the Fife coastline.
