A family seafood restaurant and takeaway on Davies Brae in Mallaig, with mussels, prawns, langoustines and fish and chips.

Welcome

On Davies Brae, just up from Mallaig's busy harbour, the Cabin is a small, family-run seafood restaurant with a takeaway hatch, and seafood is what it does best.

The little dining room is bright and cheerful.

Visitors this year have been full of praise. The mussels in garlic and white wine are a favourite, the portions are generous, and there is Cullen skink, half pints of prawns, plates of langoustines and fish and chips that come out hot and fresh. The staff are warm and welcoming, and dogs are made very welcome too. Visitors say you can bring your own drink.

It opens from Tuesday to Sunday from midday, closing earlier on Thursdays and Sundays. Mallaig's harbour is just below.
