Sister Midnight
A deli and sandwich shop on King Street in the Merchant City, known for its focaccia sandwiches, with soup, coffee and deli things to take home.
Sister Midnight is a deli and sandwich shop on King Street in the Merchant City, a few minutes' walk from the Trongate and Glasgow Green.
It's best known for its sandwiches, built generously on thick slabs of focaccia and wrapped in paper, alongside a soup of the day, a daily special, good coffee and something sweet from the counter. Shelves round the shop are stocked with jars, bottles and deli treats to take home, so it's easy to leave with a little more than lunch. Eat in at the tables inside, sit out front on a dry day, or carry your sandwich down to Glasgow Green for a picnic by the river. It opens every day, from 9am to 4pm, and from 10am on Sunday, so it's a place for coffee and lunch rather than dinner. Cards are taken, and there's step-free access through the front door.

Open every day for coffee and lunch, from 9am, or 10am on Sunday, until 4pm.
