Mr Ben is one of the longest-running retro clothing shops in Scotland, a Glasgow favourite for vintage since the 1990s, when it opened in the Virginia Galleries in the city centre.

It now trades in King's Court, the glass-roofed arcade off King Street by the Merchant City, behind a yellow sign promising vintage clothing from the fifties to the eighties, with jackets and dresses hung out along the front.
Inside, the rails run from wall to wall under a vaulted ceiling painted red, lit by a chandelier, and they are packed: leather and suede jackets, denim, bright nylon windbreakers and sportswear, dresses and shirts in every pattern, with shelves of hats, shoes, bags and belts above. Military tunics and old uniforms hang high on the walls. The stock spans decades, and it is easy to spend an hour on the rails. Mr Ben opens Wednesday to Friday from noon until five and Saturday from half past ten, and is closed from Sunday to Tuesday.
