Sneakers ER
A trainer shop, sneaker laundry and café on the Trongate by the Tolbooth Steeple, set up by two best friends.
Sneakers ER is a trainer shop, sneaker laundry and café on the Trongate, in the shadow of the Tolbooth Steeple at Glasgow Cross, and it was set up by two best friends.
Its flagship shop sits behind a long run of dark windows, with Sneaker Laundry lettered above one door and Sneakers ER above the other.
The laundry is the unusual part, and the shop also sells everything needed to keep trainers in top condition, from cleaning kits to dyes, paints and glues. The store holds walls of trainers from Air Jordan, Nike, Adidas and New Balance, alongside streetwear from Stone Island, CP Company, Supreme, Palace, Kith, Stüssy and Carhartt, with books and magazines about sneaker culture. There is a café inside, a neon sign over the counter, and even a barber's chair set among the boxes. It suits anyone who loves trainers, or who simply wants a coffee at the east end of the Merchant City. Sneakers ER opens Monday to Friday from nine until six, and at the weekend from ten.
