Welcome

On a bend of Sandport Place, below a sandstone tenement, a green corner front is framed in trailing foliage and palm leaves, with a bench outside and a chalkboard by the door.

Inside, every surface has something on it. Red walls are trimmed with greenery round a long wooden bar and its beer taps, and green banquettes sit under a pressed-tin ceiling where a palm-leaf fan turns. A rose garland frames a mirror over a mantel crowded with ornaments and a red rabbit, and the back room is papered in flowers, with dark wood furniture and a vintage mirror. Old radios and telephones share the windowsills with potted plants, and a wooden sign by the fireplace declares its love of Leith. Come for brunch after a walk along the Shore, and take a seat by the window.
