Introduction
While it appears to be a haggard pile of stones, this monument was put in place for Maggie Wall, a witch who was burned on that spot in the 17th century. Found near the village of Dunning, the monument is the only of its kind in Scotland believed to be dedicated to one accused witch in particular.
