Welcome

Broadslap is a family fruit farm in the Earn valley below the Ochil Hills, just off the A9 on the road to Dunning, and it makes a lovely stop on the way north.

The Hungry Farmer Cafe does breakfast until half past eleven, then lunch, with soup on the stove, home-baked scones and cakes, and ice cream made with the farm's own fruit. The farm shop has fresh vegetables, meat and dairy alongside the fruit, and the gift shop is full of Scottish art, china, jewellery and pocket-money treats. In season you can pick your own: tulips and daffodils in April, strawberries from June, raspberries and blackcurrants in July and August, brambles in August and pumpkins in October, when picking is booked ahead. Little ones have the PlayBarn, with a two-storey playhouse, a train and a mini climbing wall, in hour-long sessions booked by phone. Dogs are welcome in the snug, and the farm opens from Wednesday to Sunday, from half past nine until five.
