Ee-Usk
A seafood restaurant on Oban's North Pier, run by the MacLeod family, with local shellfish and windows over the bay to Kerrera and Mull.
Ee-Usk is the Gaelic word for fish, written the way it sounds, and fish is exactly what this glass-fronted restaurant on Oban's North Pier does best.
The MacLeod family have been running seafood restaurants for more than twenty years, and they name the people behind every plate: oysters grown on the shores of Loch Creran, langoustines caught in the waters around Oban, crab and lobster from the coast of Luing, mussels from Loch Leven and scallops from Mull. It all comes simply cooked, so order the seafood platter or a plate of whole langoustines and let the shellfish do the talking. The big windows look out across Oban Bay to Kerrera and Mull, and the earliest bookings get the first call on a window table. It's open every day for lunch and dinner. Book ahead, and if your dog is with you, head for the conservatory, where dogs are welcome on a first come, first served basis.
