Welcome

Collinsons is a smart, modern restaurant on Brown Street in Broughty Ferry, a short walk from the castle and the beach, and it has been cooking here since October 2012.

It's in the Michelin Guide, and the food is classic and generous, built on fresh seasonal produce, local wherever possible. The autumn menus give you the flavour of it: baked smoked haddock with Welsh rarebit and creamed leeks, roe deer with gratin potatoes and a port and cassis sauce, and a sticky date and ginger pudding to finish. Lunch and dinner are both set menus of two or three courses, which makes a long lunch here an easy treat. The dining room is calm and stylish, with blue leather chairs and a long banquette. It's open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner, and every booking is taken by phone, so give them a call.
