Welcome

On the High Street at Newport-on-Tay, Fig & Fromage is a cheesemonger, deli and cafe in one.

It grew out of two local favourites, the Urban Grocery greengrocer and the Fig deli, which joined forces in a new shop at the end of 2023.

The heart of it is a long cheese counter, with charcuterie and olives beside it. Around the shop are fresh fruit and vegetables, organic breads and pastries from Wild Hearth, pasta sauces, chutneys, a table of chocolate and shelves of pantry goods. There are hampers and gifts, and wine and beer to take home.

The cafe serves Italian coffee and is fully licensed, and the Newport Inn along the street works with Fig & Fromage on its seasonal menus. It opens every day from nine until five.
