Pretty Fly Workshop is an independent jewellery shop with its own workshop at the east end of Brook Street in Broughty Ferry, opposite the old bank.

It is run by two graduates of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, and its shelves are given over to handmade work by independent makers, more than fifty of them graduates of Scotland's art schools, from Dundee, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with others from across Britain and Europe.

The glass cabinets are full of contemporary jewellery, and around them are textiles, homeware and ceramics, prints and artwork, cheerful children's toys, and cards and wrapping paper. Behind the counter is a busy workbench, where the owners do repairs, engraving, enamel work, polishing and re-plating, and make bespoke pieces to order, from engagement rings to cufflinks. It is a good place to find a present that nobody else will have. It opens six days a week, from 10am to 4.45pm.
