Anxious Pete's
A pizza shop in the middle of the Barras on Kent Street, selling thin New York-style pizza by the slice or the 14-inch pie, with Detroit-style pizza on Thursdays.
Anxious Pete's is a little pizza shop in the middle of the Barras, in a unit on Kent Street, making thin, crisp New York-style pizza to eat in or take away.
Order a slice at the counter or a whole 14-inch pie, with a margherita, a pepperoni, a red pie and a white pie on the board, garlic mayo, ranch or hot honey to dip your crusts in, and a special that changes. On Thursdays there are Detroit-style pizzas too, ordered ahead and collected from the shop. It's a cheerful, simple place, and a slice and a can makes a quick lunch while you're browsing the stalls of the Barras market at the weekend. It opens from 4pm to 9pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and from noon until 9pm from Friday to Sunday, and it's closed on Monday and Tuesday. Dogs are welcome, and pizzas can be ordered on its own website to collect.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, from 4pm midweek and from noon at the weekend.
