On Oban's Railway Pier, right by the ferry terminal, the Waterfront Fishouse looks out through big windows over the bay, the boats and the island of Kerrera.

It is a seafood restaurant, cooking fish and shellfish caught locally on the west coast.

The menu is built round small plates for sharing, so a table can gather a spread of oysters, langoustines, mussels, fish and more, alongside larger dishes and desserts, with a drinks list to match. The dining room is comfortable and relaxed, and on a clear evening the view across the water is hard to beat.

The Fishouse opens every day for lunch and dinner. It is popular, especially in summer, so book a table ahead.
