The Brand Family Larder
The farm shop at East Fortune Farm in East Lothian, selling the Brand family's own lamb, pork and eggs alongside food from local makers.
Just along the road from the National Museum of Flight, East Fortune Farm has been farmed by the Brand family for four generations, and its farm shop, The Brand Family Larder, is the place to buy what they raise.
The family are award-winning breeders of Hampshire Down sheep and keep a herd of Saddleback pigs, so the counter holds their own lamb chops and roasts, home cured bacon and pork sausages, along with free-range eggs from their hens and fruit and vegetables grown on the farm. Alongside sits a good choice from other local makers: dairy from Yester Farm Dairies, bread from Bakery Andante, cheese from IJ Mellis, steak pies, jams, chutneys and pickles, and gifts. It makes a handy stop on the road between Haddington and North Berwick, just along from Merryhatton Garden Centre, and it's open every day from 10am to 4pm, so it fits easily round a day at the museum or the beach.

Open every day, and orders for collection can be made by phone.
