On North Berwick's High Street, Nørden brings a little of Scandinavia to the East Lothian coast.

It is bright and calm inside, with pale wooden tables and pegboard shelves laid out with things chosen for their clean, Nordic good looks.

The range is wide. There is homeware for every room, from kitchen things and textiles to lighting, storage and small pieces of furniture, alongside candles, books, jewellery, stationery and clothing, and a shelf of skincare and wellness products. There are crystals too, and plenty of ideas for presents at every price.

Visitors call it a beautiful little shop. Its hours are set out on Google, but they can vary, so check before you make a special journey. There is also an online shop.
