Hyndland Bookshop
An independent bookshop on Hyndland Road since 1997, opened by two librarians, with some three thousand titles chosen with care.
Hyndland Bookshop has served the West End from Hyndland Road since 1997, when two librarians opened it.
It sits in a white shopfront with its name in black over the window, and the shelves inside run from the floor to the ceiling.
The stock is eclectic, some three thousand titles chosen with care, and a refit has made the shop easier to browse. There is fiction and crime faced out on the shelves, a children's section of picture books and books of discovery, and tables of new titles by the door. It is close to the university and a favourite with students as well as locals, and it sells online through Bookshop.org, which shares its profits with independent shops. Hyndland Bookshop opens Monday to Friday from ten until half past five, Saturday until five, and Sunday afternoon from one until five.

Scotland, in print.
We want to show you the best that Scotland has to offer. The makers and the creatives, the enduring experiences, the evocative tales, the concealed corners. The roads less travelled that take you to places that matter. The adventures that gather you up and sweep you away. The blend of the wild and the artistic that makes Scotland what it is. We’d love for you to join us.
