Welcome

Clan Skates is a skate shop on Hyndland Street in the West End, and it is proud to be one hundred per cent rider owned, run by people who skate for people who skate.

Its sign is a little turquoise camper van, and the shop is small and packed, with decks lined up along the walls.

It sells skateboards of every kind: complete boards for beginners and children, decks from brands such as Powell Peralta and Madness, surfskates by Carver for carving the streets, and cruiser wheels in bright colours. It also repairs skateboards, and sells snowboards, scooters and surfboards, with a range of clothing and its own Clan caps. It is a good first stop for anyone taking up skating, or visiting the city's skateparks and pump tracks. Clan Skates opens Monday to Friday from eleven until five and Saturday from half past ten, and is closed on Sunday.

Scotland, in print.

We want to show you the best that Scotland has to offer. The makers and the creatives, the enduring experiences, the evocative tales, the concealed corners. The roads less travelled that take you to places that matter. The adventures that gather you up and sweep you away. The blend of the wild and the artistic that makes Scotland what it is. We’d love for you to join us.
