Welcome

Epicures sits on a corner of Hyndland Road in the West End, a neighbourhood bar, restaurant and terrace in one, with its name on a red sign above tall windows.

It opens every day from ten in the morning until late, and the day runs from breakfast to cocktails.

Breakfast and brunch are served until one: eggs Benedict, poached eggs with asparagus, pastries and hot drinks. From noon there is an all-day menu of classics and sharing plates, from falafel and souvlaki to roasts and burgers, and a set menu of three courses at a fixed price, served every day until late. The bar pours wine by the glass, carafe and bottle, draught and bottled beer, and cocktails such as a spicy margarita. Outside, the covered terrace is heated and dog-friendly, good for a long lunch in any weather, and there is pavement seating too. Upstairs, a mezzanine of booths suits a catch-up, and a private room takes seven to twelve guests at no charge.

Hidden Scotland, the magazine

Scotland, in print.

We want to show you the best that Scotland has to offer. The makers and the creatives, the enduring experiences, the evocative tales, the concealed corners. The roads less travelled that take you to places that matter. The adventures that gather you up and sweep you away. The blend of the wild and the artistic that makes Scotland what it is. We’d love for you to join us.
