ButeFest runs over three days in late July on the Isle of Bute. Performances are held across several venues, including the grounds at Mount Stuart, halls in Rothesay and other local spaces. The programme includes folk, indie and spoken word, alongside a schedule of workshops focused on writing, music and heritage. Food vendors are located at main sites and in the town centre. Most events are ticketed and tend to sell out ahead of the festival. Accommodation ranges from guesthouses to hotels. The setting allows for both programmed performances and impromptu gatherings throughout the weekend.
