Inside Harris Hideaway.

Harris Hideaway is a secluded house for two dug into the clifftop above the Sound of Taransay, with natural rock walls and a roof of local peat and wild grasses. Every room faces the sea, and a curve of floor-to-ceiling glass looks across to Taransay and the beaches at Luskentyre and Horgabost. It's calm inside, with a wood-burning stove and oak floors. There's a sauna with a window on the sea, a wave-shaped bath looking out to the Atlantic, and a copper bath outside for sunset and the stars.

The walled garden beside Raasay House has been brought back to life by the islanders.

Restoration began in 2013, and the 1.43-acre garden has flourished since, full of flowers and vegetables inside its old stone walls. Through the growing season its harvest goes on sale from the Veg Shack just outside the garden gates, put out on Wednesdays at 11 in the morning.
