The official residence of the Royal Family in Scotland, Holyrood Palace sits at the bottom of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.

A royal residence since the 16th century, the palace is built in a classical, three-storey style and covers more than 87,000 square feet. The King spends one week a year in residence at the palace.
