Shetland Islands
The Dowry
Coffee by day and drinks by night, on Commercial Street.
Welcome
The Dowry on Commercial Street works from morning to night: artisan coffee and breakfast in the morning, a lunch menu built on Shetland produce, and by evening a bar with beer and spirits worth choosing carefully.
It is small, wood-lined and usually busy. There are separate menus for the day, the evening, breakfast and Sunday, and a function room behind. Booking is worth doing for dinner; at lunchtime you take your chance and it is generally fine.
