Sprigg has been making salad bowls in Glasgow since 2018, and its shop on Ingram Street in the Merchant City is the first of three, with others on Sauchiehall Street and Waterloo Street.

The idea is simple: fresh, whole-food ingredients, made from scratch, built into a bowl the way you like it, filling, affordable and quick.

You choose what goes in from trays of fresh ingredients along the counter, and the team builds the bowl in front of you. There are soups and sides too. It is a takeaway, with walk-ins and click and collect, and there is a lunchtime delivery for offices. Sprigg runs a reusable bowl scheme that customers use around fifteen hundred times a month. It has paid the Real Living Wage from its first day, and it is cashless. The Ingram Street shop, sleek and white inside, opens on weekdays from ten until three and on Saturday from eleven, and is closed on Sunday.

The Ingram Street shop opens Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm and Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

It is closed on Sunday. Walk in, or order for click and collect.
