Introduction
Established nearly 40 years ago by a pair of locals looking to make good of wasted sheepskin, Skyeskyns continues to make authentic sheepskin clothing and home accessories. Recycling their core materials from Skye's resident sheep population, you can visit their boutique in Portree to pick up a souvenir, or take a tour around their on-site tannery on the Waternish Peninsula, where you can see up-close how ordinary sheepskin is transformed into a variety of products.
