Welcome

In Aberdeen, in a granite building with big windows, Out & Back is a shop for people who run and walk in the hills.

The choice is curated rather than vast: road, trail and race-day shoes from makers like Hoka, Salomon, La Sportiva, Norda and On, with clothing, packs, head torches, poles, watches and nutrition to go with them. The staff will run a gait analysis to find the right shoe.

It is a meeting place too. The shop organises group runs, hosts talks and workshops, and there is a Strava club to join. It opens from Tuesday to Sunday, and the trails of Deeside, Bennachie and the Cairngorms are all within reach for a first outing in new shoes.
