Kultura
A family Filipino restaurant and bar at 47 Belmont Street in Aberdeen, for crispy pata, sizzling sisig and an all-you-can-eat tapas feast.
There's nothing quite like a table crowded with dishes to share, and Kultura on Belmont Street is made for exactly that.
It's a family Filipino restaurant and bar, and its story begins with Romeo and Dolores, who started a small catering business in the Philippines in 2002. Dolores brought her cooking to Scotland in 2009, and with the help of their four children the family's food became Kultura, a name that means culture. Order the crispy pata, a slow-cooked pork shank with crackling skin and a soy and vinegar dip, a sisig that comes to the table still sizzling, or kare-kare, a rich peanut stew with crispy banana blossom. To taste a little of everything, the whole table can share the all-you-can-eat tapas feast, and there's halo-halo or something made with purple ube to finish. There are two private rooms for a bigger celebration. It opens for dinner from Tuesday to Sunday and for lunch from Friday to Sunday, and you can book online.
