Welcome

For a night out with a bit of Latin spirit, Casa del Fuego brings the fiesta to the Academy courtyard off Belmont Street.

It's a colourful bar and kitchen, proudly Aberdeen-owned, cooking the food of Latin America and Spain with produce from local suppliers. Start with tapas to share, from gambas al pil pil and ham and manchego croquetas to beef and chorizo meatballs, then go for the beef birria tacos, served with a pot of rich consommé for dipping, or a sizzling platter of fajitas. There's even a taco of haggis and melted cheese with an Irn-Bru chilli jam. The cocktail list runs from margaritas and mojitos to carafes of sangria, with alcohol-free versions too. On Wednesday and Friday evenings there's a salsa class from 7pm, with beginners welcome, followed by social dancing. There's a children's menu, and dogs are welcome. It opens from Wednesday to Sunday, from noon until late, and you can book a table through its website.
