Welcome

A few minutes' walk from the train and bus stations, the Craftsman Company is a coffee and ale house in a handsome granite building on Guild Street, and one of the friendliest places in Aberdeen to start a day or end one.

By day it's a café, with its own speciality coffee and a day menu that runs from a Full Monty fry-up and fluffy pancakes to bagels and the soup of the day, with plenty of vegan dishes and a separate gluten-free menu. In the evening it becomes an ale house, with 17 draught beers, cocktails and live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and it was named Best Bar or Pub at the Aberdeen City and Shire Thistle Awards in 2025. Inside it's a big, relaxed room of wooden tables and painted chairs, with benches outside. Dogs and children are welcome, food is served until 5pm, and you can book a table through its own site.
