Faffless
A wine bar, restaurant and art gallery in a Georgian townhouse on Golden Square, Aberdeen, with natural wines and cooking by a chef from Michelin kitchens.
Golden Square is a quiet Georgian square of granite houses just off Union Street, and at number eight, behind arched windows and a name in gold letters, is Faffless.
The name is the idea: good wine and good food, without any fuss.
It is three things at once. It is a wine bar, with a list made up of natural, organic and vegan wines from the old wine countries of Europe. It is a restaurant, where the chef, Craig, cooks from years in Michelin-starred kitchens, with small plates to share, fish and seasonal vegetables, and brunch at the weekend. And it is an art gallery, with screen prints and Scottish oil paintings hung on the dark walls of the townhouse, so you can see how they would look in a home.
There are wine tastings and open mic nights too. Faffless opens from Wednesday to Sunday, in the afternoon and evening, and a table is best booked.
