Welcome

At Rootfield Farm, on the road above Conon Bridge at the western end of the Black Isle, a small green timber shop sells fresh dairy goods and ice cream.

The ice cream is the star: smooth, rich and not too sweet, with flavours such as honeycomb. The freezers are stocked with tubs to take away, and the fridges hold cheeses, yogurt, milk, honey and other treats from the farm and the area.

The shop opens every day of the week, from eight in the morning until half past seven in the evening, so it is easy to call in on the way to or from Inverness. Bring a cool bag if you want to take some home.
