Woodland trails and waterfalls on the edge of Tobermory, with views over the Sound of Mull to Ardnamurchan.

Welcome

Aros Park is Tobermory's back garden: a stretch of woodland on the edge of the town where trails wind through ferns and trees to a series of waterfalls, the Aros Burn dropping in a tall white fall over dark rock and tumbling on through the woods in smaller cascades.

It belongs to Forestry and Land Scotland, and it is free to walk.

Viewpoints along the way look out over Tobermory and across the Sound of Mull to Ardnamurchan. There is a play trail for children, free barbecue points for a picnic lunch, and a loch where you can try for trout. It lies just off the A848 on the edge of the town, and it is a place to spend an hour, or a whole afternoon.
