Scotland's Best Waterfalls

Scotland is full of waterfalls, from ones you can see from the road to ones that take a walk up a glen to reach, and they're at their best a day or two after rain. These are the falls worth seeing.

Scotland is full of waterfalls, and they come in every size. Some you can see from the road, some are a short stroll from a car park, and some take an hour's walk up a glen to reach, with the roar getting louder the whole way. A day or two after heavy rain they're at their thundering best, which in Scotland is never a long wait.

We've gathered our favourite waterfalls across the country, from gentle cascades in the woods to great drops off the mountains. Every one of them is worth the walk, and some are worth the whole day.
