Dog Friendly Cottages with an Enclosed Garden

An enclosed garden makes a holiday with a dog so much easier, because the door can stay open and nobody has to keep watch. These cottages all have one, with walking country right outside the gate.

A fence changes the whole holiday. With an enclosed garden the door can stay open, the dog can come and go as it pleases, and the first coffee of the morning can be drunk sitting down rather than standing guard. It's the one thing that makes a break with a dog genuinely relaxing rather than a week of keeping watch.

We've picked out our favourite dog friendly cottages with a garden the dog can't get out of, most of them in walking country and many within a short drive of a beach. Every one of them welcomes dogs, and every one has a gate that shuts.
