Glencoe and Highland tours

Glencoe, Rannoch Moor and the West Highland mountains, from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.

For most people the Highlands means Glencoe, the steep glen of mountains on the road north, and Rannoch Moor, the great empty bog before it. Many tours pass through on the way to Loch Ness, Fort William or Glenfinnan, with a photo stop in the glen. From Inverness the wilder days go west to Applecross and Torridon instead, over the Bealach na Bà, one of the steepest roads in Britain. These are scenic days with a lot to see from the window.

How we choose

We say how long is spent on the road

Every tour shows when you leave, when you're back and how many hours are on the road, worked out on our own road maps. A long coach day isn't for everyone, and it's better to know before you book.

We say exactly where you meet

Each tour gives the meeting point, the time to be there and a map, so the morning starts calmly.

We say who runs it

You book with the company that runs the tour, and every tour shows who they are and how to reach them.

Questions people ask

Do any tours visit the Harry Potter viaduct?

Yes. The Glenfinnan tours from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness all stop at the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and on the four-day Skye tour, from May to September, you can add a ride over it on the Jacobite steam train.

Not sure which to choose?

Tell us where you’re starting and what you’d love to see, and we’ll find the tour that suits you.
