Two days from Inverness with a night in Portree, the easiest way to see Skye properly.

Starting from Inverness puts Skye within easy reach, and two days gives you time to enjoy it. On the first day you cross the Highlands by Loch Carron to the Kyle of Lochalsh and over to Skye, visiting Dunvegan Castle (Neist Point in winter) and the Trotternish coast before the night in Portree. The second morning is the Fairy Pools, then lunch in Broadford, a visit to Eilean Donan Castle and a last stop at Fort Augustus on Loch Ness. It runs every day, in a small group of up to 19. Rooms aren't included, but the tour can book them for you.
