Stirlingshire

From King Street to Stronachlachar.

Eating out here runs from Stirling's Old Town to the far end of Loch Katrine. In Stirling there are coffee houses on the cobbles climbing to the castle, an old coaching inn where Robert Burns once stayed, sushi on Port Street and Punjabi cooking on Dumbarton Road. Callander has hand-made sourdough and giant meringues, and Falkirk and Alloa have friendly family and community cafés. Out by the lochs, there is coffee roasted at Balmaha, fish suppers at Luss and a drovers' inn of 1705 at Inverarnan. The lochside cafés keep shorter hours in winter, so check before you drive out.
