The Luss Fish & Chip Co is the village chip shop in Luss, run by Luss Estates, the people behind the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, and it grew out of the old Luss Seafood Bar when visitors kept asking for fish suppers to take away.

The menu puts local and sustainable fish first: the haddock comes in a batter made with Loch Lomond Brewery beer, and there are Scottish scallops with lemon and a black pudding crumb, steamed Scottish mussels and lighter plates such as a hot-smoked salmon Caesar salad.

The room is light and airy, with rustic wood, subway tiles and old photographs on the walls, and there is a large outdoor terrace for fine days, a few steps from Loch Lomond. Loch Lomond Brewery's lager and a guest ale are on tap, with wine too, or take your supper down to the beach. Opening hours change with the season, so check before a special trip.
