Introduction
Loch Lomond is the de facto natural boundary between the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands, stretching from the Trossachs down into Glasgow city centre. At 22.6 miles long, it’s the largest lake in the UK by surface area and is home to many small islands visited by tourists. It is considered by many to be one of the UK’s best natural wonders.
